The Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) requirement is at the heart of Cal/OSH's enforcement system. But even though California workplaces are almost universally required to have an IIPP in place, many don't—and many have IIPPs that are deficient in one or more key areas. The result? Cal/OSH issues more citations for IIPP violations than for anything else.

Other common, easily preventable safety problems turn up again and again in California workplaces, leading to citations that could have been avoided. Is your workplace ripe for the picking?

Don't make it easy for the Cal/OSH inspector. Join us for an in-depth 90-minute audio conference on November 7, when our expert will discuss how to prepare for an inspection and spell out the most common citations issued by Cal/OSH—so you can reduce your potential for common and expensive citations while also making your workplace safer.

YOU AND YOUR COLLEAGUES WILL LEARN:

  • What triggers an inspector's visit
  • The five most important documents you must have ready in the event of an inspection
  • Exactly what qualifies as a "serious injury" that needs to be reported—and your timeline for reporting such injuries
  • The most frequently cited safety standards and how you can avoid them
  • How injury reporting and investigations of accidents can help or hurt you
  • Why addressing employee safety concerns early on reduces your risk for a complaint investigation
  • The extent of your exposure to citations when contractors are working on-site
