For new hires, safety should start the moment they report for duty on the first day of work. Not only is it a great way to let them know that you care about their well-being, it also sets the tone for how safety is viewed in your workplace.
Statistics prove over and over again that a well-trained new employee will quickly contribute to the bottom line with quicker mastery of job skills and greater job satisfaction. Day 1 safety training will also increase the likelihood that new employees will stick around longer and work more safely and more productively with others.
So get on board and join us on January 27 for this expert-led webinar. Bring along your managers and supervisors so they can hear first-hand how safety onboarding can deliver a better-trained, safer worker who can hit the ground running.
- Pre-hire and interview strategies to gauge a new employee's commitment to safety and adherence to procedures to prevent accidents
- How to create a safety onboarding program that covers the basics in a memorable, non-overwhelming way for every new hire
- What to include in the "welcome package" to get new employees thinking about safety even before their start date
- How to work with HR and other relevant departments to create an engaging and motivating safety onboarding program that delivers results for the first 12 months of employment
- How to prioritize the most relevant topics so you know which information should be delivered on day one and what can be covered at later intervals
- What to cover in new hire onboarding and what should be left for the individual managers to train
- Why conducting safety onboarding is a good investment - and how to sell it to top management
