Since 1991, every employer in California has been required to have a written Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). The IIPP requirement is designed to spur employers to address workplace safety and health risks through conducting hazard assessments and implementing corrective actions to mitigate the identified hazards or risks.
The IIPP requirement is the foundation on which all California workplace safety programs are based, yet it is by far the single greatest source of Cal/OSHA citations against employers. Failure to comply with or understand the requirements of the IIPP standard can lead to citations and lawsuits.
Don't let your IIPP land you in court. Join us for a comprehensive discussion of this topic on April 11. In our 90-minute audio conference, you'll learn:
- The essential elements of an IIPP and how to apply them
- Why a compliant IIPP alone is not enough to protect your workers
- How to avoid the traps that can snare the unwary and unprepared
- Effective tips for implementing an effective IIPP at your workplace
- What to expect in the future with the IIPP standard
