The long process to update EPA's Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures regulation was to draw to a close this November. But on July 28, 2010, EPA proposed to postpone compliance dates for many facilities until 2011. Whatever your compliance date, it's not far away at this point.
Join us when our environmental expert will offer a valuable update on spill plan requirements that impact most facilities that store or use oil. Proposed updates to this regulation have been revised five times since 2002, but no one has yet had to comply with the revised requirements. And much has changed since revisions were first published in 2002.
As it stands now, some facilities will be required to meet all the new requirements this year, and most will have to meet them next year. In either case, now is the time to figure out just what you'll need to do so there's no mad scramble at the last second.
You will learn:
- The latest news on changes to SPCC requirements and compliance dates
- Practical implementation and compliance strategies
- Which compliance dates apply to your facility
- What new plan development and implementation options are available for small facilities
- How EPA is instructing and guiding regional compliance inspectors
- Everything we've been able to learn about inspections and enforcement
